Here's what's trending for February 24.

While the snow emergency in Allentown has been lifted, complimentary parking will remain available for a bit longer. Mayor Matt Tuerk said the city's parking decks will be available for free parking until 6 p.m. Tuesday. Snow emergencies in Bethlehem, Easton and Phillipsburg have also expired.

While many local residents grumble about our most recent snowstorm, not all are. "It brings out the beauty of the landscape," one man said. "Downtown, with the snow...it's just gorgeous," said a woman.

Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says we might be getting a bit of nuisance snow that could make for some slippery conditions Wednesday morning. "It's a few hour window from probably 2 o'clock in the morning until 8 o'clock in the morning where it could snow," Lundberg says. He only expects a coating to an inch of snow to fall, but he says that's enough to make untreated surfaces a bit slippery for a while.

It's the big clean out from the historic blizzard of 2026. While the heaviest snow initially moved through the central and southern portions of the state into Monday, the northeast counties began seeing a dumping as the day went on. Areas in Bergen County saw more than 27-inches of snow making it one of the hardest hit counties in the state. Most communities throughout the Garden State got well over a foot to just over two feet. Many schools are still closed today or opening with delays. Folks will spend the day shoveling and digging out.

Authorities have identified the two Lower Nazareth Township men killed in a weekend crash in Northampton County. The coroner says 59-year-old Edward Segreaves and 22-year-old Lucas Snyder were both killed when their vehicles collided with one another about 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon on Route 191, near Gradwohl Switch Road in Lower Nazareth Township. Segreaves was declared dead at the scene. Snyder died at the hospital.

A popular restaurant in Northampton County is temporarily closed after the passing of the restaurant's owner. Ashley’s Signature Restaurant, a family owned and operated restaurant has been open in Easton since 1935, but it's closed until further notice after the death of owner Melinda Watson. There's no word on when the restaurant will reopen its North 11th Street and Wood Avenue location.

A Northampton County man is facing federal charges for allegedly grooming a minor. Officials say 18-year-old Matthew Pysher groomed a 13-year-old girl to send him explicit images and videos, and also encouraged her to engage in self-harm. Pysher was arrested last Friday after he allegedly traveled to Los Angeles for sex with the victim. Authorities reportedly found razor blades and bloody tissues at the scene, with the victim reporting Pysher repeatedly cut her.

If you live within the 22th state House District, it's election day. Voters there will be electing the replacement for Josh Siegel, who resigned after being elected Lehigh County executive last November. Republican Robert Smith and Democrat Ana Tiburcio hope to replace Siegel. The 22nd House District includes much of downtown and East Allentown and part of Salisbury Township. Polls remain open until 8 o'clock tonight.

President Trump delivers the annual State of the Union address tonight. Some Democrats don't plan to show up while others are considering no-showing. Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman says that's up to them, but he hopes those Democrats who 'do' attend behave like adults. "If you want to boycott it, that's up to you. But, I hope they don't do the kinds of things some of them did last year. There's just no dignity if you have paddles or are yelling and saying those kinds of things. You can agree or disagree on certain things, but if you're going to show up just do it with dignity because you really need to respect the office," Fetterman says. Last year, the president delivered a joint address to Congress where Democrats held up signs throughout his speech saying "save Medicaid," "Musk steals," and more.

At least one Pennsylvania lawmaker plans to boycott President Trump's State of the Union address tonight. Congresswoman Summer Lee says she will join more than two-dozen Democrats in skipping the president's speech. The Representative from Allegheny County and several other Dems are expected to hold a counter-rally called "The People's State of the Union" on the National Mall. Lee will also deliver the progressive Working Families Party's response to the address.

Lehigh University needs a new football coach. After a very successful three seasons at Lehigh, Kevin Cahill is leaving to take over as the coach at Yale, where he previously served as an assistant for ten seasons before taking the Lehigh job. Cahill leaves after compiling a 23-14 record, including a 21-5 mark in his final two seasons in Bethlehem. Cahill led the Mountain Hawks to a pair of FCS playoff appearances and was named the National FCS Coach of the Year after guiding Lehigh to a 12-1 mark this past season.
