Lehigh County authorities are investigating a death at a home in Allentown. In happened late Sunday night at a home in the 1600 block of East Cedar Street. The Lehigh County coroner, a bomb squad, and the Lehigh Valley Hospital decontamination unit were all spotted at the scene. Authorities have not yet commented on what happened or why they were there.
Authorities are investigating a fire that destroyed a garage in Carbon County. The blaze broke out over the weekend in the 600-block of Lafayette Avenue in Palmerton. Officials say the fire was put out quickly, but the damage was already done. Nobody was reported injured.
Pennsylvania Democrats are taking legal action against the GOP's recent move in their "forensic investigation" of the 2020 election. Last week, a GOP-led Senate committee voted to issue subpoenas to gather personal information, including social security numbers, from voters and records of communication between state and county election officials. Senate Democrats filed their lawsuit to block the move, saying this only feeds into Donald Trump's conspiracy theories about the 2020 election as well as undermines democracy and confidence in our elections.
Pennsylvania liquor stores, bars and restaurants are now limiting customers to two-bottles-per-day on select items. Officials with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board say this is due to sustained supply disruptions and product shortages beyond their control. The move, which took effect Friday, impacts specific types of champagne, bourbon, tequila, and whiskey. the limit will remain in place indefinitely.
New Jersey Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli says New Jersey stands ready to administer booster coronavirus shots to eligible residents. It comes after U.S. regulators voted on Friday, that people who are 65 and older can get another dose of the vaccine at least six months after they've completed their primary series. Persichilli says the governor's office will update the public once guidance is available. For now, Persichilli says officials are focusing on people who have yet to start the vaccine process, especially those between the ages of 12 and 17.

The Eagles may have lost more than a game when they fell to San Francisco 17-11 Sunday afternoon. Defensive lineman Brandon Graham left the game with what's being reported as a season-ending Achilles tendon tear. Head coach Nick Sirianni is concerned. "We're fearful of what it might be. But we don't know for sure yet, but obviously we're very concerned. He's such a good leader and if we're without him it'll be a big blow. He's a great football player, a great leader and one of our captains," Sirianni says. The Eagles drop to 1-1 and will play Dallas next on Monday Night Football.
