Neither Pennsylvania senator likes President Trump's decision to pull U.S. forces out of Northern Syria. Democrat Bob Casey says, "Kurdish forces have been a steadfast U.S. ally and President Trump has shamefully betrayed them. Turning our back on the Kurdish people in their time of need will make our nation less safe." Republican Sen. Pat Toomey says, "The president's decision to withdraw U.S. forces from the northern Syrian border poses a significant threat to our national security and risks reversing the progress made in the region to destroy ISIS. This betrayal of the Kurds will also severely harm our credibility as an ally the world over."

Their mother told police the cable was used to restrain a dog. State police have already executed four search warrants on the home on Route 143 and have seized electronic devices and more.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has named the new judge who will oversee Jerry Sandusky's resentencing hearing. Judge Maureen Skerda takes over for Judge John Foradora, who recused himself last month. The judge from Forest and Warren counties will be tasked with reviewing the 75-year-old Sandusky's conviction after an appeals court ruled earlier this year mandatory minimum sentences were improperly applied.

Pennsylvania dairy farmers are discussing the challenges they're facing. The group met with Berks County Sen. Judy Schwank at a farm in Richmond Township. Schwank recently helped commission a report about the state's dairy industry. The report makes nine recommendations, including adding a surcharge on products like almond and coconut milk and expanding cheese and ice cream production to create more demand. The report also recommends extending sell-by dates on milk.
