Here's what's trending for August 12.

Bill Cosby is due back in a Pennsylvania court again today to appeal his sexual assault conviction. Cosby was first charged in June 2017 with felony sexual-assault that occurred in 2004 but this time, the appellate court is focused on the alleged trial errors that Cosby's legal team says happened. One includes the promise Cosby had from a former prosecutor that he would never be charged in the case. This promise led the former comedian to give a deposition that was later used against him when the documents became unsealed. Cosby, now 82, still sits in jail serving a three to ten year sentence.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a helicopter crashed near Lehigh Valley International Airport over the weekend. The Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority Operations Center says the copter crashed Sunday behind one of its hangars and that two unidentified people were injured in the incident. Officials say the chopper originally took off from the ACE Pilot Training School at the airport. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An autopsy is being performed today on a New York child who died over the weekend in an Easton public pool. Four-year-old Jahleel Bartell died Sunday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Fire and police were called to the private community pool on Vista Drive Saturday night where Bartell was found unresponsive and then rushed to the hospital. Investigators say there was no lifeguard on duty and the incident remains under investigation.

Crews responded to a basement fire Sunday afternoon in Lehigh County. The fire was reported just before 5 p.m. in the 2900 block of Saucon Avenue in Salisbury Township. Fire officials described it as a small fire. There were no reports of injuries and residents were able to safely exit the home.

Five children are dead in a Sunday morning fire in Erie. Erie fire chief Guy Santone says this tragedy will take a toll on everyone involved. "These firefighters are tough but when something like this happens, it's a little bit different," Santone says. The fire happened at a home that served as a daycare center. The children who died belonged to parents who worked overnight. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.

Some firefighters from Pennsylvania are again battling wildfires on the West Coast. The 20 volunteers from across Pennsylvania left from Harrisburg International Airport over the weekend headed for Redmond, Oregon. The members of the group will have various jobs from protecting buildings to digging hand lines. About 250 firefighters from the commonwealth have battled wild fires out of state this year.

The National Weather Service confirms that three tornadoes touched down in the Garden State last week. A storm over Union County that was captured on cell phone video by several people dropped a Category EF-Zero twister on Springfield Township last Wednesday. EF-Zeros were also confirmed in Mercer County and Cumberland County on the same day.

President Trump's "dangerous" tactics on Twitter echo those of Russia attacking U.S. democracy. That's what Sen. Cory Booker said on CNN's State of the Union Sunday. The presidential candidate added the President's language uses the same tactics not just as white supremacists, but of the Russians. He said while looking at the intelligence reports and how the Russians are coming after our democracy, it is the same as when Trump links the Clintons to the death of Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was found dead of an apparent suicide while in jail on child sex-trafficking charges and had ties in the past to former President Bill Clinton as well as to President Trump.
