One person is dead and two others are in the hospital after an ATV crash in Schuylkill County. Officials said the three were riding a side-by-side ATV that crashed in Dark Water Village Sunday morning. Authorities said a 57-year-old woman was killed, while the conditions of the two injured have not been released. The crash is being investigated.

A man accused of trying to hit someone with his vehicle is being charged with attempted homicide. State Police said 65-year-old David Tyson accelerated toward a man who threw rocks at his vehicle after an argument at the Martz Bus Terminal in Delaware Water Gap Friday evening. The man reportedly had to dive out of the way to avoid being struck. Tyson is being held without bail in Monroe County custody.

The official start of summer is still another 30-plus days away, but you wouldn't know it based on the forecast. "It is going to become hot and more humid with our high 94. Accu-Weather RealFeel temperatures will reach the upper 90s. Our record is 96 set back in 1962," says Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg. He also says we'll be in the mid-90s again tomorrow and in the upper 80s Wednesday before more springlike temperatures return on Thursday.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has declared a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for ozone for Monday, May 18, 2026, for eastern and south central Pennsylvania, affecting the following counties: Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Berks, Northampton, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, and York. On a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day, young children, the elderly, and those with respiratory problems, such as asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis, are especially vulnerable to the effects of air pollution and should limit outdoor activities.

The Congressional campaign of Bob Brooks got a high-profile boost Sunday. Governor Josh Shapiro met with Brooks and his supporters in Emmaus. State representatives Michael Schlossberg and Peter Schweyer were also there to back Brooks' campaign. Brooks, Lamont McClure, Ryan Crosswell, and Carol Obando-Derstine are running in the Democrat primary tomorrow, hoping to face incumbent Republican Ryan Mackenzie in November.

Pennsylvania's primary election is set for tomorrow. Polls across the state will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters will select party candidates for a variety of races in the general election this November including the U.S. Congress and state House and Senate districts. Registered voters can visit the Pennsylvania Department of State webpage to confirm their polling locations before heading out to cast a ballot tomorrow.

President Trump is warning Iran will face a "very bad time" if a peace agreement is not reached soon. This comes as the U.S. and Israel are reportedly considering restarting attacks on the regime as soon as next week. Senator John Fetterman says he'd back a resumption of attacks if that's what is needed. "I fundamentally believe Iran should never develop a nuclear bomb," Fetterman told Fox News.

A new report suggests that the minimum wage in Pennsylvania is way lower than is needed to afford housing. The National Low Income Housing Coalition's most recent report shows that the average cost of a two-bedroom rental in Pennsylvania is over 14-hundred-dollars per month, meaning residents need to earn a minimum wage of 27-dollars and 83-cents to afford housing. That's nearly four-times the current minimum wage of seven-dollars and 25-cents per hour. The report underscores the challenges faced by low-income renters in Pennsylvania and the urgent need for higher wages to address the affordability crisis.

Six Flags Great Adventure will promote a campaign aimed at raising awareness about pancreatic cancer, which has the lowest survival rate of any cancer. Six Flags has dubbed its campaign the Purple Project as it partners with Project Purple, a national pancreatic cancer research organization. Up until now, the name, Purple Project, only referred to the roller coaster, which features purple rails. The cancer awareness campaign runs through next June and will include signs throughout the park highlighting information about pancreatic cancer.

The Phillies are above .500 after a 6-0 win Sunday in Pittsburgh. Zack Wheeler threw seven scoreless innings to pick up the win, which leaves the Phillies at 24-23 after starting the season 9-19. "It's a good feeling. It's a long time coming. Glad we got there, now we just have to keep going," Wheeler said. Wheeler is now 3-0 since returning from the injured list.
