Warren Batz, a 37-year-old man from Slatington is in custody after allegedly attempting to meet who he believed was a 13-year-old girl. The supposed juvenile was actually an undercover officer from the Bensalem Police Department. According to authorities, Batz began communicating with the officer on a social media dating app on May 3, 2025. He expressed interest in a romantic relationship, offered $200 to "hang out," and requested explicit photos and videos. He also referred to the girl as his "sugar baby" and encouraged her to sneak out of her house when her mother went to bed.
On June 24, Batz drove 70 miles from Slatington to Bensalem, bringing a new iPhone he intended to give to the girl for sending explicit content. Upon arrival, he asked her to meet him in his car, but she was unable to leave her home. Later, Batz messaged the girl, expressing sadness and requesting an explicit video to feel better.
The Bensalem Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Batz, charging him with multiple felonies, including unlawful contact with a minor and solicitation of sexual abuse of children. On Thursday (July 3), Pennsylvania State Police arrested Batz at his workplace in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, after he was not found at his home. He was arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone and is being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of a $10 million bail. According to Bensalem Police, no child was ever in danger during the investigation.
