Winter is swiftly approaching, and what better way to get over the cold weather blues than by reminiscing warm vacations with friends and family?

One location in particular is known for being the prettiest lake to visit in all of Pennsylvania. Whether you're into relaxing along the shore, fishing on a dock, boating to a nearby marina, camping, or partaking in a variety of water sports, this standout spot has it all.

Named among the prettiest lakes in America, this picturesque destination is fun to enjoy in the summer, but is truly a sight to behold all year round.

According to a list compiled by Reader's Digest, the prettiest lake in all of Pennsylvania is Lake Jean. This lake was praised for its stunning blue water and pretty waterfalls.

Here's what Reader's Digest had to say about the most beautiful lake in the entire state:

"In Northeast Pennsylvania, west of Scranton, lies Lake Jean. The 245-acre lake is gorgeous in itself, but what really puts Lake Jean over the top is that it’s encompassed in Ricketts Glen State Park. Picture old-growth timber, bright blooming mountain laurel, and beautiful blue water. The state park even includes waterfalls pretty enough to get a National Natural Landmark designation at Glens Natural Area; you can hike to them on the Falls Trail System. Lake Jean is also great for trout fishing and swimming."
