The city of Allentown has announced the dates for its annual Lights in the Parkway event. The holiday light display will run from November 29, 2024, through January 6, 2025, excluding Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The event will take place in the scenic Lehigh Parkway, featuring hundreds of thousands of LED lights in a variety of holiday-themed displays.
Lights in the Parkway is a long-standing tradition in Allentown, attracting visitors from all over the region. The drive-through light display spans more than a mile, showcasing lighted trees, tunnels, characters, and animated displays in a winter wonderland setting. The event will be open daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Mondays, visitors will have the option to walk, run, or bike through the lights from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with no reservations required.
Tickets for the event are now on sale and must be purchased online in advance. The cost is $16 per car, accommodating up to eight passengers, and $26 for commercial vans, limos, or mini-buses.
