The Allentown School District is facing a lawsuit over allegations that a student was assaulted by school security guards. The incident reportedly took place in October 2022 at Raub Middle School. The lawsuit names Raub Middle School Principal Jose Delgado and former Allentown School District Superintendent Doctor John Stanford, alleging that their leadership created an environment that allowed for the incident to occur.

The student, whose identity has not been disclosed, was allegedly attacked by two security officers at the school. The details of the incident, including the nature of the alleged assault and the injuries sustained by the student, have not been made public.

The lawsuit argues that the school district, under the leadership of Delgado and Stanford, failed to ensure the safety of its students. The district has responded to the lawsuit with a statement, asserting that it takes any allegations of compromised student safety seriously.

The Allentown School District is one of the largest urban public school districts in Pennsylvania, serving a diverse student population. The district has not provided further comments on the ongoing legal proceedings.
