A large house fire in Easton has left three people homeless. The fire broke out on Sunday night on South 15th Street in the city's West Ward. All residents were able to escape without injury, but the home has been deemed uninhabitable. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
According to lehighvalleylive.com, the Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents. Cristina Maisel, regional communications manager for the American Red Cross Greater Pennsylvania Region, said the nonprofit is providing shelter, food, health services, and emotional support to the victims.
The fire was reported just before 7:30 p.m., according to WFMZ. Fire crews from multiple agencies responded to the scene and battled the blaze for over five hours. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
