Several people are displaced after a fire tore through five row homes in Allentown yesterday morning. Officials say fire crews were called to 421 North 16th Street around 11:20 a.m. Two of the five homes are destroyed. There are no reported injuries but some pets died in the fire. What caused the blaze is being investigated.

Work on the Fourth Street Parking Garage in Easton is set to continue. This after the City Council passed a resolution to hire a new contractor. The garage fully opened last June, but problems arose with the work done by the original contractor, Perrotto Builders. The council has unanimously approved a resolution in which another contractor, the Alfero Company, will complete unfinished work at a cost of nearly 19-thousand dollars.

Two Republican candidates in hotly contested federal and state races made a stop in Northampton County on Saturday. US Senate candidate Dave McCormick and 7th Congressional District candidate Ryan Mackenzie were at the Plainfield Farmer's Fair. McCormick's campaign bus pulled into the fair Saturday afternoon. The two candidates met with fair visitors while touring the fairgrounds. Northampton County is viewed as a key battleground region in the race for both US Senate and the 7th congressional district.

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, has been diagnosed with COVID. The Democratic lawmaker shared the news Sunday on social media. The state's former lieutenant governor says that he is experiencing mild symptoms, following appropriate CDC guidance -- and will be working from home for the time being.

Gunfire rang out during a road rage incident that led to a stretch of the highway being shut down for a few hours Saturday evening. Troopers were called to I-80 East near exit 305 in the Stroudsburg area just after 5 p.m. Police said two cars crashed, then the occupants got out of their vehicles and multiple gunshots were fired. No one was hurt. The investigation remains active.

Donald Trump says he will be returning to Butler County for another campaign event. The former president's rally on July 13th was cut short after an assassination attempt that left one attendee dead and two others injured. On Friday, Trump wrote he will be returning to the city "for a big and beautiful rally." It's unclear when or where the rally will take place, as Secret Service officials have urged him to stop holding events outdoors following the shooting.

Loved ones of Corey Comperatore say there are scammers out there trying to make money off of his tragic death. Comperatore's sister, Kelly, says they have seen fraudulent posts on social media from people claiming to be Corey's family and asking for donations to cover his funeral expenses. Kelly says the family is not asking for monetary contributions, and they never will. She suggests making a donation to your local fire and EMS services in Corey's honor if you would like to help. Comperatore is the former Buffalo Township fire chief who was shot to death at the Butler Trump rally.

A Mercer County Assignment Judge is expected to decide today if independent presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Junior stays on New Jersey's ballot under its Sore Loser law. Judge Robert Lougy will decide on election lawyer Scott Salmon's argument that Kennedy clearly challenged President Joe Biden in the Democratic primary before changing his bid to run as an independent. Kennedy's lawyers argue Salmon has no standing to challenge Kennedy's nominating petitions.
