A destination for surf and turf in Northampton County is closed indefinitely. American Lobster on Jacobsburg Road in Plainfield Township, is closed until further notice “due to staffing and the rising cost of food,” according to an announcement on the business’ Facebook page. Customers are advised to “stay tuned for more updates."

If you have outdoor work you want to get done this weekend, Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg suggests you do it early on Saturday. "It's going to be cloudy today and with it cooler and with it a shower or two. I can see showers moving in by early to mid afternoon like two or three o'clock," Lundberg says. And that rain will continue off and on through Sunday afternoon and into Sunday night.

Pennsylvania's April General Fund revenue came in at $5.7 billion, of 7% more than anticipated. Fiscal year-to-date General Fund collections total $38.5 billion, which is 2% above estimate.

The Garden State has landed in one of the top spots in a national survey of worker safety among all fifty states. The survey by the safety company, Protex Ai, ranks New Jersey high for workplace safety because of its numbers, 2.67 fatalities per 100,000 workers. In a ranking of the most hazardous occupations, the company says farming, fishing and forestry is the most hazardous field. Transportation and material moving is the second most hazardous occupation.
