Resolution Passed To Declare "The Taylor Swift Era"
(Harrisburg, PA -- Before they left for an end-of year-break, State House lawmakers successfully passed a resolution to declare 2023 as "The Taylor Swift Era" in Pennsylvania. Seven Republicans sided with most of the Democrats in voting in favor but several Democrats, including local lawmakers Carol Hill Evans of York, and Manuel Guzman of Berks voted against the idea. Republicans who objected to the resolution observed that while Swift was born in Pennsylvania, she no longer lives here.
