Two teenagers are arrested in connection to the shooting of Ohio State and former Nazareth High School wrestling star Sammy Sasso nearly three weeks ago. Columbus police arrested 15-year-old Casia Mayfield and 16-year-old Elijah Lee. Mayfield had 11 warrants out for her arrest and Lee had been released from the Department of Youth Services on August 13th, five days before Sasso was shot. Tom Ryan is the Ohio State wrestling coach and says Sasso's shooting has been difficult to accept. "He deeply loves people. I think when this tragedy occurred, the wrestling world just exploded with care for him because they know who he is," Ryan says. Sasso spent three days in the ICU and has now been transferred to a rehabilitation facility where he is receiving physical therapy and learning how to walk again.

Autopsies are today on two people in the Poconos who have died after what police call a "domestic event." Police were called to Diane Lane in Barrett Township, Monroe County, around 8:45 Monday night. They found the bodies of 68-year-old Deborah Oliver and 69-year-old Michael Oliver. Investigators said both died from apparent gunshot wounds.

A 61-year-old Lehigh County man is in jail after he reportedly tried to rob and rape a Lehigh University Student. School police say they were called early Tuesday morning for the report of young woman being threatened outside The Lehigh Store on the southside of campus. Officials say Dwayne Jones, who is from Washington Township, allegedly came up to the student, asked her if she had any money or valuables, then blocked her way and threatened to rape her.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry says two people have been arrested, and more than $1.5 million worth of fentanyl was seized, after an investigation of an alleged drug trafficking operation based in Allentown. 33-year-old Wilson Rosario and 21-year-old Luis Ventura face several charges and remain in Lehigh County Jail under $600,000 bail. The fentanyl that was seized has an estimated street value of more than $1.5 million.

A popular Delaware-based brewery plans to open its first Lehigh Valley location sometime early next year. Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant will open at the site formerly occupied by Bravo! in the lifestyle mall outside the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township. Iron Hill currently has 21 locations spread out in five states.

The average price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is two cents lower this week. The $3.88 price is down from $3.90 from the previous Tuesday and 35 cents below the price from the same date in 2022 according to AAA East Central. In the Lehigh Valley, the average price as of Tuesday was $3.78, also down two cents from the previous week. The local price on August 29, 2022 was $4.04, 26 cents higher than this year.

A 52-year-old Boyertown man has been arrested on charges he assaulted law enforcement by spraying a chemical irritant at police during the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. James Maryanski had a hearing Monday and was released on $75,000 bail after being arrested last Friday. He's accused of spraying a chemical irritant in the faces of officers who were retreating from the onrushing mob. Maryanski is scheduled to appear in federal court in Washington, D.C., next month.

Pennsylvania State Police are preparing for a busy Labor Day weekend. The P-S-P announced D-U-I checkpoints will be placed across various roadways this weekend. Officials didn't give details on the areas where patrols will be conducted. D-U-I offenses can range from a $300 fine with six months of probation to up to $5000 fines with prison sentences of up to five years.

The Bruce Springsteen concerts at Citizens Bank Park that were postponed because Springsteen was sick have been rescheduled. If you had tickets for the August 16th show this year, they will be good for the August 21, 2024 show. If you had tickets for the August 18th show, they will be valid for a show on August 23, 2024. If you wish to receive a refund for your existing tickets and if you bought them through www.phillies.com/springsteen, you've got a 30-day window to request a refund. For tickets purchased through a secondary site, customers must go back to where the tickets were originally purchased to request a refund/review that company’s policies.

Former Philadelphia Phillies manager Pat Corrales has died at the age of 82. Corrales died of natural causes Sunday night at his home in Georgia. Corrales was hired as the Phillies manager in 1982, going 89-73 in his only full season with the team. Despite being in first place at the time, Corrales was let go with Philadelphia at 43-42 the following year.
