All that rain Monday caused a lot of headaches on the way home from work. A tree fell across Route 22 during the storm and that caused 22 in both directions to be completely shut down between routes 512 and 191 in Northampton County. Lane restrictions due to flooding were also put into place on I-78 between the Lehigh Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard exits. There were also several reports of vehicles getting stuck in high water during the downpours.

Officials are identifying the man who died over the weekend in the Beltzville State Park lake. The Carbon County coroner's office says Xin Huang of Philadelphia jumped into the lake Sunday after a child on a raft drifted out across the water. Huang, who reportedly could not swim, was seen struggling before disappearing under the surface. His body was eventually found at the bottom of the lake and the coroner has ruled his death an accidental drowning.

We're about four months away from ski season but when it arrives two popular local ski resorts will be operating under new ownership. Vail Resorts has bought both Jack Frost and Big Boulder as part of a larger transaction that has Vail buying 17 ski areas from Peak Resorts for about $264 million. According to the Morning Call, Vail plans to keep most of each resort's employees and sink about $15 million in improvements at its newly acquired properties.

Police in Bethlehem say a boy feared to have been struck by lightning was more than likely not. Six-year-old Juniel Velez was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after being believed to have been struck by lightning while riding his bike outside during thunderstorms. However, following a checkup, it's believed the boy was just frightened by a lightning flash and make have fallen from his bicycle. The boy did receive treatment for a cut on his lip and is back home with his family.

Despite a Sunday night murder in their gated community, A Pocono Country Place Chief of Public Safety Kurt Cummings tells residents there they are safe. "We run a 24-hour department and we have provided great security to this community the last few years and we will continue to do that to make sure it stays safe," says Cummings. He says Daniel Santana was shot to death inside his car after some sort an argument and that the killing was not a random event and that the public is not in jeopardy.

Lehigh Street in Hokendauqua is closed between South 5th and South 6th streets due to a water main break. We're being told that portion of Lehigh Street could remain closed several days to allow repairs to be made.

One Jersey Shore town is warning people to stop feeding the seagulls, noting the birds are becoming dangerously aggressive. It cost this young man a slice of pizza while walking along the boardwalk. "One seagull I heard and looked up and there was a seagull right there. I just got really scared and I dropped my pizza and they were all eating at it," the man says. Ocean City's mayor reminds visitors it is illegal to feed the seagulls in Ocean City.
