The Slate Belt Smoke Out is a premier Northeast Barbecue Society (NEBS) Classic Contest that will be helping to raise funds for Rescue Fire Company #1 of Bangor Pennsylvania, which will provide equipment and gear that the fire department needs to protect life and property throughout their service area.

COMPETITORS will go head-to-head in TWO categories to compete for the Prestigious Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion titles!
Teams showcase their skills with Wild or Farm-raised Chicken, from juicy thighs to perfectly smoked wings. 1st 2nd 3rd place winners.
Battle of the Best Pork Ribs – be it Loin Back, Baby Back, Spare, or St. Louis style. 1st 2nd 3rd place winners.
Dessert: show off your sweet side with desserts assembled and cooked right on-site. 1st 2nd 3rd place winners.
People’s Choice: Chicken Wings (FREE to register) - competitors will provide 100 samples for public voting and the winning team walks away with 50% of the ticket sales! PRIZE awarded to the winner!
KIDS - 17 & under (FREE to register / registration must be done by a parent or guardian) ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED DURING THE EVENT!
Kids-Q: Pork Chops - the next generation of BBQ stars will take the stage, preparing perfectly grilled pork chops for the judges. 1st 2nd 3rd place winners.

Liberty Fire Company #2 will have their money wheel
Music & Entertainment by DJ KANICKY from 12 pm to 5 pm
Chill On Wheels 2 will be there from 12 pm to 5 pm for your ice cream cravings
