First responders were needed after a car crashed into a house in Lehigh County last night. Officials say a vehicle slammed into a home on East Station Street in Coopersburg shortly before 8:30 p.m. It remains unknown if anyone was injured.
Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire at an auto body shop in Allentown over the weekend. The blaze was reported at O-and-L Auto Repair on the 600 block of East Congress Street late Saturday night. Nobody was injured, but at least one vehicle inside the shop was destroyed.
After beating archrival Lafayette Saturday afternoon, the Lehigh football team has been seeded 5th and will receive a bye in the opening round of the FCS playoffs. The Mountain Hawks are in the playoffs for the second straight year and will host the winner of this weekend's Harvard-Villanova game on December 6th. Lehigh is a perfect 12-0 and won the Patriot League title after beating Lafayette 42-32. Lehigh won its opening round playoff game last season against Richmond, before losing at Idaho in round two.
The Pennsylvania Working Families party says it will put up a candidate to challenge John Fetterman in the 2028 primary election. The group says Fetterman betrayed supporters by voting with Republicans to reopen the government during the recent federal government shutdown. Fetterman says he's proud of those votes. "Voting to keep our government open was a vote to make sure that 42 million Americans get their SNAP. We're going to make pay the military and the Capitol police and those of those folks now too," Fetterman says. The Democrat says he will always put country before party and that shutting down the government was wrong.
An investigation is underway after a Pennsylvania Congresswoman's office was targeted by a bomb threat. Officials said the threat was made toward Democratic Representative Chrissy Houlahan's district office in West Chester last Friday. It comes days after a video in which Houlahan and other Democratic lawmakers tell military members to ignore orders issued by President Trump if they are illegal. A spokesperson for Houlahan's office said "there is no place for threats and political violence in our nation or our political discourse."
The ionic SkyCoaster ride at Morey's Piers in Wildwood is swinging no more. After more than 25 years in operation, officials with the amusement park announced this weekend they would be retiring the massive pendulum ride. Described as part skydiving and part hang-gliding, the SkyCoaster could accommodate up to three people at a time. Morey's operates three piers on the boardwalk in Wildwood.
Most major retailers will be closed for Thanksgiving day this year. The stores closed for the holiday include most, but not all Ace Hardware stores. Aldi will close its stores for Thanksgiving along with Best Buy, but the tech retailers Black Friday hours can be found online. Costco's warehouse stores will be closed for the holiday and its Black Friday hours are available online. Dick's Sporting Goods will be closed on Thanksgiving, but will open at 6 a.m. for Black Friday shoppers.
The Dallas Cowboys tied a franchise record of biggest deficit overcome for a win. After falling behind 21-0 Sunday to the Eagles, the Cowboys scored the last 24 points to beat the Eagles 24-21. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni says his team can't dwell on the loss. "We'll get up. We've got a short week. We didn't do things well enough tonight but give them credit. We'll get up and get back to work," Sirianni says. The Eagles host the Bears in a Black Friday game. The Eagles drop to 8-3 and now trail the Rams by one game for the best record in the NFC.
