Lehigh County authorities are searching for a man accused of assaulting his girlfriend. Police in Emmaus say Daniel Leibensperger allegedly attacked his girlfriend, and is now facing charges. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Emmaus P-D.

More than a dozen homes in Bethlehem were evacuated Christmas night due to a gas leak. Northampton County officials say residences on the 1100 block of Mechanic Street were cleared out while first responders investigated. WFMZ-TV reports about thirty people had to clear their homes. Crews were able to find the leak and are working to address it.

Authorities say a burglary at a pharmacy in Lehigh County Tuesday night ended in an officer-involved shooting and two arrests. Police were called to the Fountain Hill Pharmacy after Miguel Martinez and David Vasquez allegedly broke in to steal medication. When officers arrived at the scene, Vasquez reportedly started shooting and the officers fired back. Nobody was injured.

The days are numbered for toll booths on the turnpike and the Delaware Water Gap Bridge. Both the Turnpike and the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission say they're getting rid of manned toll booths in the new year. Both are moving to open tolling. The last day for toll booths at the bridge will be Tuesday, January 7th. Tolls are also going up on the bridge. The Delaware Water Gap Bridge toll is set to jump 25 cents, to a minimum of a dollar-50.

Pennsylvania's first lady is trying to draw attention to the cost of feminine hygiene products. First Lady Lori Shapiro visited Warwick Middle School to talk about period poverty. She says too many young women in Pennsylvania can't afford all of the product they need. A group in Warwick raised the money to buy 40 thousand feminine hygiene products for local young women over the past two years. Pennsylvania has a law that is aimed at helping young women afford their needs, but critics say there's no state money behind the law, so it's lacking.

First responders from Butler are being invited to walk in next month's inauguration parade in Washington, DC. Organizers have extended an invitation to those who responded to the July 13th assassination attempt on Donald Trump in that town. Members of multiple local departments and agencies are being given the opportunity to take part in the event following Trump's January 20th swearing-in.

The Eagles are mourning the loss of a former player. Bill Bergey passed away on Wednesday due to cancer. He was 79. The five-time Pro Bowler was inducted into the team Hall of Fame in 2009 and earned his first-career Pro Bowl selection as rookie in 1969. Bergey had 27 interceptions and 18-and-a-half sacks over his 12-year career. He was originally taken by the Bengals 31st overall before joining Philly in 1974.
