Congresswoman Susan Wild, who lost her job to Ryan Mackenzie, offered her take. "I do think that there was a lack of enthusiasm about the top of the ticket. That part, I think, a lot of us didn't gauge and just thinking people were going to turnout to vote against Donald Trump was a miscalculation," Wild said. She said her party failed to realize that unless families were directly affected by abortion rights and LGBTQ issues, those families simply didn't care as much about those issues as they did the economy, which affects all families.
