Police are investigating a shooting in Easton. Authorities said a man was shot on the 1300 block of Church Street Tuesday evening. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Investigators say they are looking for a U-Haul van that drove off after the shooting.

A judge is dismissing the whistleblower lawsuit against the City of Allentown and the Allentown Police Department. City officials said Lehigh County Judge Zachary Cohen dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice on Monday. The lawsuit claimed the department has a policy of concealing reports of officer misconduct. The attorney for the whistleblowers says the lawsuit was dismissed due to a filing error, and plans to file to have the case reopened.

Following its merger in August, Jefferson Health says it is planning to spend $900 million on Lehigh Valley Health Network facilities over the next three years. Among the projects on tap are expanding the emergency department at LVH-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem with 79 new beds and a heliport on the roof. That project should be wrapped up two years from now. Jefferson also plans to create a Mother Baby Unit at LVH-Pocono in East Stroudsburg. The 13 postpartum beds, eight nursery bassinets and half-dozen labor-and-delivery rooms are expected to be ready by April 2026.

Demolition is underway at the Jacob Mayer building in Easton's Centre Square. The building was constructed in the late 1800's, becoming a men's clothing store operated by Jacob Mayer. It's being torn down to make way for a seven-story, 49-room hotel.

The City of Easton has issued a ban on any open flames or burning until further notice. The ban includes all open fires, including approved recreational fire pits.

The Bob Casey-Dave McCormick Senate race in Pennsylvania is nearly as tight at the Kamala Harris-Donald Trump race is. McCormick says a vote for Casey is a vote for a career politician and Harris. "Bob Casey has been elected office for 30 years, 18 years in the Senate. He's weak and he's adopted a radical liberal agenda and has voted 99 percent of the time with Biden-Harris," McCormick says. With the election growing closer, Casey holds onto a lead just less than two points ahead of McCormick.

Sheetz fans can now add their favorite gas station to their wardrobe. Sheetz this week announced a new clothing partnership with Dickies. But fans won't be able to find the new outfits in their Sheetz store. The company says the collection is only available online.

The 76ers haven't even played a regular season game yet and superstar Joel Embiid is already hurt with a knee injury. Head coach Nick Nurse didn't have much of an update Tuesday. "I don't know what to say to you. He's in practice. He's looking good. He's progressing. He's not quite ready yet. He'll be ready pretty soon. I don't know what else to say to you," Nurse said. Embiid is out for tonight's season opener against Milwaukee and has also been ruled out for Friday's game against the Raptors in Toronto and Sunday's game at the Pacers. Newly acquired Paul George has a bone bruise after suffering a hyper-extended knee during the preseason and will miss tonight's opener and will be re-evaluated in a week.
