A Carbon County man has tragically lost his life after a crash in the Poconos. According to authorities, 45-year-old Stephen LaClair of Palmerton was driving on Cays Road in the Monroe County community of Jackson Township Saturday when the accident happened. LaClair was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering multiple injuries. No one else was hurt and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Members of the Easton Planning Commission have approved a plan to build a new planetarium downtown. It'll be constructed at the Nurture Nature Center on Northampton Street and come with a roughly eight-million-dollar price tag. The planetarium is going to feature a large domed theater for shows that'll address topics including stars and underwater life. If all goes to plan, the planetarium will open to the public sometime in 2027.
Officials in Philadelphia are preparing for tomorrow night's presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump at the Constitution Center. Kelly Rule spoke with the center's COO. "It's a general election debate, the eyes of the world are on Philadelphia, it's a great way to showcase our city and the Constitution Center," says Vince Stango.
Former Vice President Mike Pence has met his first group of students at Grove City College. The Mercer County college announced back in the spring that the former V.P. would be serving as a distinguished visiting fellow for the school's new Center for Faith and Public Life. Pence taught his first class in person this past week though there may be times in the future when he instructs via video conference depending on the demands of his schedule.
