About 20 people are displaced following a large fire in Allentown that burned three buildings. Officials say the fire broke out on Hamilton Street Monday evening, and at least one building was engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived at the scene. Authorities said five firefighters and one other person were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

Nearly half of Lehigh County's $118.4 million five-year capital plan is dedicated to renovations at the Cedarbrook Nursing Home, county officials discussed Monday night. The plan calls for $53.5 million for the second phase of renovations at the home, while leaving open the possibility of converting space in Cedarbrook's B-wing into apartments or personal care. The $118.4 million spending plan contains projects through 2029 and a bond issue of $78.4 million.

A man is in the hospital after authorities say he was hit by his own car in Weisenberg Township. Lehigh County officials said the man was working on his car in his garage yesterday when he was struck. His condition is not known at this time.

Duran Duran are rocking their way back to the Lehigh Valley in the fall. The band behind "Hungry Like the Wolf," 'Girls on Film" and "Rio" is scheduled to perform at the PPL Center in Allentown on Oct. 21, according to the band's website. Duran Duran headlined the then-Sands Bethlehem Event Center in 2016. The group performed at Musikfest in Bethlehem the year before. Tickets go on sale Friday.

The investigation continues into the bomb threat that forced the evacuation of the Pennsylvania State Capitol on Saturday. Officials say the threat was emailed to all members of the state legislature, then a second email from a person claiming to be the suspect was sent to the General Assembly on Sunday. That second email was reportedly sent while President Joe Biden was making a campaign stop in Harrisburg. So far, no arrests have been made.

The prosecution in the federal corruption trial of Senator Bob Menendez continues its closing arguments today. Yesterday, attorneys for the government accused Menendez of putting his influence as chair of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee up for sale. They're accusing Menendez of taking cash and gold bars in exchange for official acts as senator. Two businessmen also face charges, along with Menendez's wife -- Nadine -- who's being charged separately. The 70-year-old Democrat is the first to be charged under the foreign agent statute and involves alleged criminal activity linked to Egypt and Qatar.
