Part of the Hill to Hill Bridge in Bethlehem will be closed today. The right lane of Route 378 southbound over the bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. on today. Officials are planning to clean the stormwater drains on the bridge.

A 44-year-old Hamburg woman died Thursday, after being struck by a motor vehicle on Tuesday. Hamburg police say Alicia Barlip was walking in the area of South Fourth Street at Pine Street when she was hit. Barlip was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital and pronounced dead Thursday. Police and the Berks County District Attorney's office are investigating.

Not even the Mayor of Allentown can avoid parking tickets. Mayor Matt Tuerk posted a picture of himself holding a ticket on Wednesday with the caption "Mayors get and pay parking tickets too." The mayor also used the post as a reminder that parking fines will increase in Allentown starting on July 1st.

The federal bribery trial of Senator Bob Menendez is on hold because a co-defendant of the senator's -- businessman Fred Daibes -- has come down with COVID. Judge Sidney Stein says he hopes that the trial can resume Monday. On Wednesday, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger testified that Menendez wanted to discuss the prosecution of a developer before the senator recommended him for his job. Prosecutors say Menendez's efforts to intervene in court cases was one way he tried to reward businessmen who paid him and his wife bribes of cash and gold bars. The senator and his wife have denied wrongdoing.
