Schnecksville may triple in size over the weekend. Thousands of Donald Trump supporters are expected to flock to a rally in the area that normally has about 3000 residents. Former President Donald Trump is coming to Schnecksville Saturday night. His appearance will be outdoors at the fire company along Old Packhouse Road. What will the weather be like? "It'll probably be about 54 degrees about the time it gets started at 3 o'clock and it should hover there for a couple hours. By the time he gets on the stage around 7, I suspect it'll probably be about 52, 51," says Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg. He doesn't expect rain to be a factor during the Trump visit.
The union representing workers at Mack Trucks is calling Mack's parent company's decision to build a new heavy-duty truck manufacturing plant in Mexico "a slap in the face." The Volvo Group says Mack's facilities in the Lehigh Valley and Virginia will continue to be the company's main North American heavy truck production sites, however the new Mexican plant is expected to be operational in 2026.
Investigators say a pair of deaths in Upper Saucon Township is a case of murder-suicide. Police say a man shot and killed his wife, then killed himself at a home on Taylor Drive. This man lives near the home of Roy and Helen Knieriem and says there was no indication anything like this was possible. "It's horrible. There's just no explaining it. It's a travesty," the man said. The DA's office says there were no other people present at the home, no witnesses known to police, and no additional injuries.

The Pennsylvania Senate has okayed the plan to toughen the penalties for phoning-in bogus school threats. The new plan would make it a felony of the third degree to call-in fake threats to a school or other 'education facility.' The proposal also allows judges to require anyone convicted of phoning-in or emailing-in a fake threat to cover the cost of the police response. Cambria state Senator Wayne Langerholc says the idea is 'common sense.' It now heads to the Pennsylvania House for a vote.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike is announcing some exciting news out of Beaver County. On March 21st, volunteer firefighter Nick Holmes was driving his pregnant wife to the hospital when things escalated quickly. On the side of the turnpike, between the Beaver Valley and Cranberry interchanges, a little baby girl was born. A turnpike equipment operator was the first to arrive on the scene and help Holmes and his wife deliver the baby. Both the mom and baby are said to be healthy and doing great.
Another whale carcass, this time, that of a humpback whale, has washed up on the shore in New Jersey. Federal officials say the carcass washed ashore in Long Beach Township and is part of what they call an unusual mortality event. It was the first dead whale to appear on the Jersey Shore since October. The humpback was found yesterday morning. Wildlife groups on Long Beach Island and some state lawmakers continue to call for an investigation into the deaths and are pointing fingers at offshore wind development. The state EPA maintains there is no connection.
