The Lehigh Valley Health Network doctor at the center of lawsuits over alleged child abuse misdiagnoses will retire from Lehigh Valley Health Network at the end of the month. Debra Esernio-Jenssen left her role as the leader of LVHN's John Van Brakle Child Advocacy Center in September amid allegations her of making "unfounded allegations of child abuse against parents and caretakers." More than a dozen lawsuits have been filed.

Despite a third threat made against the Saucon Valley School District, school was is session Friday. All district schools were closed both Wednesday and Thursday because of bomb threats. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-317-6110.

The man who has led the Northampton County Department of Corrections for over three decades says he's stepping down. James Kostura told county commissioners Thursday that he will retire May 1st after 31 years of service.

The Northeast Extension will be closed in both directions Sunday morning from midnight to 5am between the Mahoning Valley Interchange, Exit 74, and the State Route 903 Interchange, Exit 87, in Carbon County. Crews will be removing overhead bridge beams and closing the road is in the interest of those workers' safety. During the road closure, the Hickory Run Service Plaza will be closed to all traffic. While conducting a commercial vehicle inspection at the Greenwich Township Weigh Station, New Jersey State Police found 3.4 tons of hydroponic marijuana inside a tractor-trailer on I-78. Two Mexican men are now facing multiple charges. The tractor-trailer was coming from California and headed to Long Island. The marijuana on board was worth about $28 million.

There will be a new layer of security at Coca-Cola Park for the upcoming Lehigh Valley IronPigs season. Team President Kurt Landes says metal detectors will be in place at all fan entrances to Coca-Cola Park. Fans will be required to remove all items from their pockets when they walk through the metal detectors. The IronPigs open their season Friday night, March 29th at home against Worcester.

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry reports Pennsylvanias's unemployment rate for February was 3.4-percent, the fifth consecutive month with that number. It is three-tenths of a point below its February 2023 number of 3.7 percent.

New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin has been tapped to lead the group of state attorneys general that's suing Apple over antitrust charges. Attorneys general from the tri-state and other states are echoing U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland's claims that the tech company held up improvements for customers while blocking competitors from having any real chance of success. Apple pushed back in a statement, claiming the lawsuit is "wrong on the facts and the law."
