A Phillipsburg, New Jersey, man died after crashing his motorcycle Wednesday afternoon on Route 22. 59-year-old David Walton was riding his motorcycle, eastbound on Route 22 past 25th Street when he encountered stopped or slowing traffic, skidded, lost control of his motorcycle and hit a box truck. Walton was thrown from the bike and ended up underneath a different vehicle. Police believe Walton was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident happened.

A 27-year-old Bath woman has been sentenced to eight to 20 months behind bars for failing to feed her 2-month-old baby. Kayla Toribio's baby slipped in and out of consciousness back in December 2021 and was eventually taken to the hospital, where a child welfare worker determined the baby was “clearly severely nutritionally neglected and had life threatening decompensation.” The baby was also severely dehydrated, suffered kidney and liver injuries and had dirty fingernails, toenails and ears according to police.

Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says it'll feel a bit like March today and tomorrow and that might mean records could fall both days. "Both of them are well within reach. The record is 57 both days, both set back in 1990," Lundberg says. Today's forecast high is 55 while tomorrow's is 59.

Six people from the same family are presumed dead after a shooting and fire in East Lansdowne, Delaware County. Among them is the man who killed his relatives. District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer says some of those killed have been found in the rubble. "We've recovered three bodies from the house. One, we think, is the person who was shooting at police officers from the house because there was a rifle recovered with that body," Stollsteimer says. It's believed a man killed his brother, his brother's wife and the couple's three children, who were 10, 13 and 17. It's still not known whether Canh Le shot his five relatives to death or whether they died in the inferno. Authorities hope to recover the other three bodies sometime today. One of the two officers shot Wednesday afternoon was released from the hospital Thursday. The second is expected to be released today.

Republican St. Sen. Rosemary Brown doesn't think Gov. Josh Shapiro has the votes to get recreational marijuana passed in Pennsylvania. She says was in favor oF medical marijuana but is worried about doing what most other states around us have done. "Law enforcement concerns, brain development concerns and science is coming out every day on impacts of ongoing marijuana usage," Brown says.

The Philadelphia 76ers had a very busy trade deadline day Thursday. They sent guard Patrick Beverley to Milwaukee in exchange for guard Cameron Payne and a 2027 second-round pick. Earlier, the Sixers added Buddy Hield to their back court from the Pacers in exchange for Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and a pair of second-round draft picks. The 76ers also shipped Danuel House and a 2024 second-round pick to Detroit to clear salary cap space and they finally traded guard Jaden Springer to Boston for a second-round pick in this year's draft.
