Crews are busy cleaning up rubble after a house exploded in Carbon County. This woman lives nearby the home on Bradstreet Circle in Penn Forest Township and says she saw, felt and heard it happen. "Actually we thought it was our house that was collapsing, it was so bad," one woman said. The Carbon County rental home blew up Tuesday morning and investigators are saying the explosion was propane-related. Nobody was inside the residence at the time and no injuries are being reported.

The Lehigh County coroner’s office has released the autopsy results for the man shot to death by Allentown police officers early Monday. An autopsy determined Dominick Hogans’ death was caused by multiple gunshot wounds. The Lehigh County district attorney’s office is investigating the incident and will determine if officers were justified when they fatally shot Hogans near North Sixth and Turner streets. Police say they had been called to the area for a report of a man waving a gun around. When they arrived at the scene, Hogans fled and fired at them as they chased him. The officers returned fire, hitting him and killing him.

Bryan Kohberger's defense attorneys say they'll present an alibi for their client during his upcoming trial. The 28-year-old Poconos native and DeSales University graduate is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in lsat November's stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students. The filing indicates the crime occurred but Kohberger's defense will argue during the trial that he was not present at the off-campus University of Idaho house when the murders happened.

The price at the pump went up quite a bit over the past seven days both in the Lehigh Valley and across the state. According to AAA East central, the price for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley jumped by nearly nine cents from last Tuesday. The average price in Pennsylvania stands at $3.73 a gallon, which remains 82 cents below last July 25th's number. In the Lehigh Valley, the average price stood at $3.66 on Tuesday, which is 79 cents less than the July 25, 2022 figure.

We're in for a very hot stretch of weather. "It may not officially begin a heat wave today, but I think tomorrow, Friday and Saturday we get there because we're at 90-plus each of those days," says Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg. He says we'll probably eclipse 90 degrees tomorrow through Saturday before less humid conditions and cooler temperatures arrive Sunday.

Lottery players around the nation still have a chance to win one of the largest jackpots in American history. There has been no jackpot winner in the multi-state Mega Millions game since April and last night's drawing was no exception. With no winner again, the estimated top prize for this Friday's drawing now stands at $910 million.

The city of Wildwood is the latest Jersey Shore community to consider tightening its curfew this summer. The proposal comes up for a final vote tonight. It would mean anyone under the age of 18 cannot be out after midnight. Over the July Fourth weekend, city officials say a group of about 60 juveniles were causing disturbances almost before dawn. The proposed curfew would also cut back the 1 a.m. deadline to midnight.

Whitehall High School graduate Saquon Barkley has agreed to a one-year contract with the New York Giants, just in time for training camp. The deal is reportedly worth up to $11 million and eliminates any chance of Barkley holding out of training camp and potentially missing some regular season games.

The Phillies scored two runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to rally past Baltimore 4-3 last night. Manager Rob Thomson hopes the unlikely win sparks more. "Having that rally in the ninth inning, hopefully that sparks the offense a little bit and get some guys going a little bit," Thomson says. The Phillies host the Orioles again tonight.
