More than four months after disappearing, a missing Lehigh University student has been found dead in the Lehigh River. The body of 19-year-old Daniel Lee was pulled from the river last Friday and Wednesday the Northampton County coroner ruled the manner of death a suicide. Lee had been missing since January 20th.

The Northampton County coroner has ruled a May 14th death a homicide. Zachary Lysek says 59-year-old Walter Whaley Jr. died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Whaley was killed at a home on Sandy Shore Drive in Upper Mount Bethel Township. District Attorney Terry Houck has said it appears the shooting was domestic-related and was not a random act. The investigation is ongoing.

The Lehigh Valley needs some rain. But many have outdoor plans this holiday weekend and don't want any rain just yet. Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says those folks will get their wish. "It's going to be sunny and beautiful today and it looks like we're going to stay dry through the holiday weekend," Lundberg says. He says there's an outside chance of just a little rain Sunday or Monday, but he's skeptical it will happen. Weekend temperatures will move from 78 on Saturday to 81 on Sunday up to 87 on Monday.

The DA says the investigation kicked into gear after authorities began intercepting large quantities of cocaine that had been shipped into Berks County. Investigators said they seized $4 million worth of cocaine.

The regulatory agency kicked off a process earlier this week that will end eventually in a statement on setting rates. Suggestions for the policy include setting prices so that people will charge their cars' electric batteries during non-peak hours. Agency officials say they hope to stay ahead of an expected surge in electric-vehicle use, which will have ramifications for the power grid.

The New Jersey Attorney General's office has joined a lawsuit filed by 44 other states against Avid Telecom and its owner for facilitating more than seven-and-a-half billion robocalls. The calls were made to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry. Avid Telecom is a Voice over Internet Protocol service provider that sells data, phone numbers, and dialing software, so its customers can make robocalls. Besides being annoying, robocalls are often used for scams involving the Social Security Administration, Medicare, auto warranties, and others. The state says the company also helped route illegal robocalls across the country.
