Lehigh says undergraduate tuition for the upcoming school year will be $61,180, a number 3.75% higher than the current academic year’s cost. Including associated costs like typical room and board, the total cost of attendance is $78,650.
The CEO of Norfolk Southern told a Senate hearing on Thursday that he's determined to make things right following last month's toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, along the Pennsylvania border. Gov. Josh Shapiro says he'll continue to insist the rail company fully funds any issues in Pennsylvania caused by the what happened. "They shouldn't trust Norfolk Southern. I've demanded that Norfolk Southern pay for the damage that they created, not just right now, but well on into the future, as long as it takes to make our communities whole in Beaver and Lawrence counties," Shapiro says.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry has released its January 2023 unemployment numbers. The commonwealth's unemployment rate was steady over the month at 4.3-percent in January. That's .2 percentage points below its January 2022 number.

Mike Humphries is the acting PA Health Insurance Commissioner. "It would be affordable and provide comprehensive coverage. In fact, 90-percent of total enrollees so far in 2023 plans for Pennie receive significant financial savings. 32-percent of Pennie customers will actually pay less than $50 a month for coverage," Humphries says. The pandemic-related funds dry up at the end of March.

Top Phillies prospect Andrew Painter does not need surgery but he does need rest. The Phillies say Painter, who is baseball’s No. 6 prospect, has a sprained right proximal ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, which he first felt after making his Spring Training debut on March 1 against the Twins. The Phillies say Painter will rest for four weeks from the date of the injury, then begin a light tossing program. Four weeks from the injury is March 29.
The longest tenured athlete in Philadelphia is staying in Philadelphia in 2023. The Eagles and Brandon Graham have agreed to a one-year deal that will bring Graham back for his 14th season. The one-year deal is reportedly worth up to $6 million.
