An early Friday morning fire in Allentown forced two people from their home. The fire happened on North Seventh Street around 2:30 Friday morning. The home suffered smoke, water and fire damage. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

A 45-year-old Wilson Borough man is charged with three felony counts related to child pornography after Pennsylvania State Police said they found hundreds of images and videos on his smartphone. Chad Hunter was arraigned Thursday and released with on $100,000 bail.

UGI Electric Division has filed a request with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to increase its base rates for electric distribution service to customers by $11.4 million annually. UGI says the increase will fund ongoing system improvements. It will also be used for information technology investments that the company says are needed for customer service activity and to maintain safe and reliable electric service.

It's been a busy week for the Great Allentown Fair. A third Grandstand headliner has been announced this week alone and this one is a big name in hip-hop. Grammy winner Nelly will be on the Grandstand the night of September 1st. Tickets go on sale one week from today. Previously announced acts include REO Speedwagon and Styx, Keith Urban and Tyler Hubbard.
