A Friday morning accident between a tractor-trailer and a school bus caused both westbound lanes of I-78 between exits 49A and 45 to be closed for several hours. All traffic was detoured onto Route 100. There were injuries reported, but the extent of them are not known. The driver of the school bus was the only person on the bus at the time of the crash.

An unidentified 39-year-old Carbon County man is being held without bail in Northampton County Prison, for allegedly threatening a mass shooting at LANTA bus stops. Police say the Weissport man allegedly sent the threats to LANTA via Facebook Messenger and in a comment on the transportation authority’s Carbon Transit Facebook page.

Police, family and friends are all looking for a former Hellertown resident who disappeared from his home in Allentown shortly after Christmas. 40-year-old Adam Zimpfer was last seen on December 27. His car is a 1999 beige/gold Toyota Camry with a Pennsylvania license plate of LYY5887.

Pennsylvania's December unemployment rate was a record-low 3.9-percent, down one-tenth of a point from November. Pennsylvania's jobless figure last month was 1.6 points below December 2021.

The boil water advisory for customers on Welshtown Road in Washington Township has been lifted. The boil water advisory had been put into effect on on Tuesday.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs have announced a pair of job fairs. The first is February 9th from 4-7 and February 11th from 9am-noon. Among the jobs looking to be filled are ushers, ticketing, housekeeping, grounds crew and food and beverage. The IronPigs are accepting applications from kids as young as 14.
