Police in Easton are trying to find the person who stabbed a man near the Crayola Experience just before 6 o'clock Thursday evening. Police say the 31-year-old victim is expected to survive, but is reportedly not cooperating with the investigation.

A firefighter and two people reportedly suffered smoke inhalation Thursday evening in a Lehigh County house fire. Fire crews were called to a home on Bastian Lane in Upper Macungie Township just before 8 o'clock last night. The fire appears to have started in the kitchen and is currently under investigation.

The former treasurer of the Reading Education Association allegedly stole nearly $400,000 in union funds and deposited them into her own bank account from 2014 to 2022. Officials charged 49-year-old Lisa Herbinko with multiple counts of theft, receiving stolen property and tampering with records.

Incoming Democratic Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has nominated a former Republican from Philadelphia to be his secretary of state. Shapiro, who'll take office January 17th says appointing Al Schmidt is a way to work across political lines. Schmidt had been on the Philadelphia City Commissioners' elections board, where he gained a reputation for trying to modernize the office and make data more public. His nomination will need state senate approval.
