With the winter storm, PennDOT is advising motorists to be mindful of the roads today. Crews were out overnight treating and plowing roadways but advise that there will be icy spots. There's also plenty of standing water that formed after the snow changed to rain last night. PennDOT reminds people to be ready for the unexpected. that includes having a full tank of gas and an emergency kit just in case.

Firefighters in Upper Macungie Township had a busy weekend. They responded to a fire at a house in the 1400 block of Chippewa Drive. Crews at the scene say the fire is believed to have started in the chimney. Everyone got out safely.

A weekend fire damaged a home in Hellertown. The fire broke out at a home in the 200 block of Northampton Street shortly before 7:00 p.m. Saturday. Officials say there were no reports of injuries. No word yet on what caused the fire.

An Allentown man is facing charges for allegedly stabbing another man multiple times. 40-year-old Maron Linguard is charged with a stabbing that happened just before 3:30 Saturday afternoon in the area of North Fourth and Gordon streets. One person was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Less than a week after crashing his medical transport helicopter outside a Delaware County church, Danial Moore was released from the hospital Sunday afternoon and spoke briefly with reporters. "I had God as my co-pilot on that day and he took care of us and took care of the crew. We landed in his front yard, so that was kind of nice," Moore said. He says his memory about the crash is spotty. He remembers his medic taking the two-month-old infant they were taking to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to safety and he remembers his flight nurse dragging him away from the burning helicopter. All four people aboard the chopper survived.

Pennsylvania and the rest of the nation are stopping today to remember the life and legacy of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. Most banks will be closed today, as will schools along with local and federal government offices. That includes post offices and there will be no regular mail delivery today.

The coronavirus surge could be slowing in New Jersey. It comes as the state reported just under 14,700 cases on Saturday and some 14,000 cases on Sunday. This was the first time in two weeks that the state reported fewer than 20,000 daily new cases.

Tampa Bay roared to a 31-0 lead and easily knocked the Philadelphia Eagles out of the NFL Playoffs with a 31-15 win Sunday afternoon. Eagles head coach Nick Sirriani says his team just wasn't good enough. "It was just not a crisp game. That all starts with me as the head coach and then on the quarterback. We're always going to take responsibility for that," Sirriani says. The Buccaneers will move on to play the winner of tonight's Rams/Cardinals wildcard game.
