An Allentown entertainment era is ending. The owner of the Maingate Night Club is closing the Maingate at the end of this month. Germano hopes to reopen after finding a solution to complaints of excessive noise coming from the club, which has been in Germano's family since 1980. The North 17th Street club had previously closed for four months, but Germano says this time it won't reopen until he can resolve the noise complaint issue.

For the second straight week, the Eagles' offense was ineffective and for the second straight week it cost them. "I probably do an okay job, but there were some plays to be made and every time we got something going, we turned the ball over. A handful of those are on me. I've gotta protect the football. You can't win many games with five turnovers," Wentz said. The Eagles slip to 5-6. They'll play in Miami this Sunday afternoon.
