Ten members of the Trinidad gang that operates in Reading are facing charges. Berks County DA John Adams says the accused are hard core criminals. "This is the most violent drug trafficking organization that this city or county has ever investigated," Adams says. The gang members are accused of killing six people in December 2017 and January 2018, including four people murdered inside the same Reading house. Nine of the ten charged are in custody.

A Lehigh County woman is facing charges after handing off her baby to a bus driver and then walking away. Bethlehem police say Ashley Walters, of Whitehall Township, has been charged with child endangerment in connection to an incident that happened Saturday. Walters allegedly handed her one-month-old son to a LANTA bus driver on Guetter Street before saying she couldn't care for him and walking off. Police spotted her shortly after and arrested her for failing to make arrangements to ensure the baby's well-being.

Allentown police are looking for a man alleged to have shot a city resident over the weekend. Police want to find Moises Figueroa for charges of aggravated assault and other offenses. Figueroa allegedly shot a male victim Friday night on Union Boulevard. Anyone with information on Figueroa's whereabouts is asked to contact the city's Criminal Investigations Division.

A former Bethlehem man is being accused of a sexual assault that occurred nearly a decade ago. Justo Garcia is behind bars on charges of rape and indecent assault in connection to an attack that happened in May 2011. Police say they used DNA evidence to identify Garcia as the alleged attacker. Garcia is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on November 8th.

The city of Allentown making the interim fire chief permanent. City council voted last night to appoint Jim Wehr the permanent fire chief. Wehr is a 25-year Allentown Fire Department veteran who has been the interim chief for more than a year and has a lengthy record that includes being named "Firefighter of the Year" in 2009 and a Service Award in 2014 marking his work over 20 years of service.

A man called a person of interest in the killings of a man and woman in Warren County, New Jersey is in custody. 50-year-old Todd Warner was wanted for questioning in the homicides of Frank Warner and Joyanne Warner and was taken into custody Monday afternoon. The Warners were found dead inside their home on Peregrine Drive Sunday night. While police are confirming it, neighbors say Todd Warner is the son of the victims. He was already wanted for credit card and motor vehicle theft.

A Schuylkill County man who led law enforcement on a chase across several states will be sentenced after being convicted of assaulting the mayor of his hometown. A jury found McAdoo's Shawn Christy guilty of assaulting Stephan Holly in a March 2017 attack. Christy also faces trial in federal court and in Carbon, Luzerne and Schuylkill counties on several charges, among them threatening President Donald Trump and Northampton County DA John Morganelli. Christy is also accused of stealing a car and guns while on the run.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is appearing at Rutgers University-Newark today as part of the annual New Jersey Institutional Investors Forum. He'll be delivering the keynote address. The forum is focused on issues that directly impact New Jersey and how the sharing of information benefits the Garden State's access to capital markets.

New Phillies manager Joe Girardi says he took the Phillies job for a simple reason. "I'm selfish. I want to win and that's why I came here," Girardi says. And he says he has that opportunity in Philadelphia. Girardi takes over for Gabe Kapler, who was fired earlier this month.

The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired defensive end/linebacker Genard Avery from the Cleveland Browns. Philadelphia is sending Cleveland an undisclosed 2021 draft pick. Avery has just two tackles on the season after four-and-a-half sacks as a rookie last year.
