Neither Pennsylvania senator likes President Trump's decision to pull U.S. forces out of Northern Syria. Democrat Bob Casey says, "Kurdish forces have been a steadfast U.S. ally and President Trump has shamefully betrayed them. Turning our back on the Kurdish people in their time of need will make our nation less safe." Republican Sen. Pat Toomey says, "The president's decision to withdraw U.S. forces from the northern Syrian border poses a significant threat to our national security and risks reversing the progress made in the region to destroy ISIS. This betrayal of the Kurds will also severely harm our credibility as an ally the world over."

An anti-buylling campaign made a stop in Bethlehem on Monday. 'Hat Not Hate' began last year and encourages people to make, wear and post handmade blue hats and share the namesake hashtag on social media. Louis Boria, a designer from New York, visited Donegan Elementary and Broughal Middle School to hand out those blue hats. Boria teamed up with Knitter's Edge Shop in Bethlehem to make about 1500 hats.

A 28-year-old Northampton County man who police say assaulted his baby is headed to trial. Michael Hogg faces several assault charges after investigators say he admitted to hitting his 2-month-old daughter in the head with a bottle at his home on Timothy Drive, in Hanover Township, on September 16. Hogg's next court date is set for December 19th.

The former police chief in Roseto is charged with threatening to kill a woman. 46-year-old Mark Gwozdz allegedly told a woman last Friday morning, "I'll kill you before I give you anything." Gwozdz is currently a Washington Township police officer, but has been placed on administrative leave with pay.

Seven Pennsylvania cities, including one in the Lehigh Valley, have made the list of the best places to retire. U.S. News and World Report looked at the 125 largest metro areas in the United States and analyzed data such as housing affordability, tax rates, healthcare quality and over happiness of the residents. Allentown was ranked as the 23rd best place in America to retire. Also making the list: Lancaster in third place, Pittsburgh 18th, Harrisburg 25th, Philadelphia 27th, Reading 38th and York at 60.

Court documents are shedding light on the deaths of two children in Berks County. The documents say eight-year-old Conner Snyder and his four-year-old sister Brinley were found hanging by a cable in the basement of their Albany Township home on September 23rd. Their mother told police the cable was used to restrain a dog. State police have already executed four search warrants on the home on Route 143 and have seized electronic devices and more.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has named the new judge who will oversee Jerry Sandusky's resentencing hearing. Judge Maureen Skerda takes over for Judge John Foradora, who recused himself last month. The judge from Forest and Warren counties will be tasked with reviewing the 75-year-old Sandusky's conviction after an appeals court ruled earlier this year mandatory minimum sentences were improperly applied.

Pennsylvania dairy farmers are discussing the challenges they're facing. The group met with Berks County Sen. Judy Schwank at a farm in Richmond Township. Schwank recently helped commission a report about the state's dairy industry. The report makes nine recommendations, including adding a surcharge on products like almond and coconut milk and expanding cheese and ice cream production to create more demand. The report also recommends extending sell-by dates on milk.
