There's new life coming to the old Kraft-Heinz site in Upper Macungie Township. Gov. Tom Wolf's office has announced Keurig Dr. Pepper plans to bring a new facility and in the process add 378 new jobs there. Keurig Dr. Pepper is pledging to spent nearly $220 million on a new 1.5-million-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility. Applications for the new jobs will begin being accepted later this month. The Kraft Heinz plant has been closed for nearly three years now.

At a Monday hearing, police said 80-year-old Edgar Himel told them back in July that after an argument inside their Palmer Township home, he had shot his wife, Penny VanTassel-Himel, and then after hearing her moan, shot her again. Himel fled the area and was finally caught in Colorado after several days on the run. His wife's body was found when police responded to a welfare check at the home on July 7th.

An Allentown father and son are heading to prison for dealing heroin. 46-year-old Robert Birch has admitted to dealing between 100 and 400 grams of the narcotic, admitting to getting the drug in New York and Allentown before dealing it in Carbon County. He could end up in prison for as many as 40 years when he's sentenced next week. His son, 23-year-old Deovonie Birch, was sentenced last week to 31 months behind bars for helping his dad deal the drug.

A pedestrian was hurt after a three-car wreck in Lehigh County Monday evening. Officers were called to Fountain Hill around 6:45 Monday night after a crash happened when a man did not yield to another driver's vehicle as it entered the intersection. The man's car struck the other vehicle, causing it to spin and strike a male pedestrian standing outside a parked vehicle. The male was holding a baby. The male suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The baby was not hurt. The parked vehicle was also damaged.

Officials in Columbia County are investigating the death of a college student who graduated from Boyertown High School. They say Justin King, from Gilbertsville, was found dead near the campus of Bloomsburg University over the weekend. The coroner says King died from head injuries after falling from a cliff. The freshman's death is being ruled an accident.

An unknown delay is putting Jerry Sandusky's resentencing on hold. The judge made the order Monday which postponed the scheduled September 23rd proceeding. In February, an appeals court ruled mandatory minimum sentences had been improperly applied in Sandusky's child sexual assault case. There's no word on what may be the reason for the delay.

State residents are getting two chances to pick up free doses of opioid overdose antidote medication. Tomorrow and again on the 25th, free naloxone will be available for pick up at more than 90 locations statewide between 11am and 7pm, while supplies last. Naloxone is used to fight an overdose by blocking the effects of opioids on the brain and state officials say that more than 25,000 Pennsylvanians have been revived by the drug since November of 2014. Naloxone is also available via most medical insurance policies at low or no cost at many pharmacies all year.

Bald eagles are nesting in record numbers across New Jersey these days. The Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey environmental advocacy group reports that 238 nests have been monitored this year, which led to 248 new eagles. That's the highest number ever recorded in the history of the organization.
