A New York City man is behind bars in Lehigh County for an attempted armed robbery in Allentown over the weekend. Police say they found Andrew Birch-Julbe hiding near North Mohr Street Saturday after officers responded to a reported attempted mugging. Police say the Bronx man tossed a gun as he fled from them, before police eventually caught up with him at a home on North Penn Street. Birch-Julbe faces charges of attempted robbery, trespassing and weapons possession.

The United States Geological Survey confirms a small earthquake rumbled parts of central Pennsylvania this weekend. A quake registering a magnitude of 2.8 occurred in Adams County and around 1700 people claim to have felt the shake. Residents as far away as Harrisburg and Lebanon reported feeling the vibrations, as did several residents in Maryland. No damage has been reported.

Department of Agriculture officials are investigating after a Ferris wheel accident at the York Fair. Two people were taken to the hospital after the ride malfunctioned and one person fell. An eyewitness video reportedly shows one of the carts broken and dangling. There is no word on the condition of the injured.

The state Department of Health is warning residents about another confirmed case of the measles in central Pennsylvania. the Secretary of Health said over the weekend that anyone who may have visited several locations in York County between September 9th and 12th may have been exposed.

A New Jersey state policeman is recovering after being attacked during a traffic stop over the weekend. The trooper stopped a man and woman Saturday morning for speeding on Route 80 in Hackensack. The male passenger exited the car while the trooper was handing the female driver a ticket and began the assault, with the woman then getting out and joining in. Both the man and the woman have since been arrested on aggravated assault charges. The trooper was seriously injured but is expected to recover.

Democrat presidential candidate and U.S. Sen. Cory Booker is defending his middle-ground approach to universal health care. On NBC's Meet the Press Sunday, the New Jersey Democrat said he believes all of the 2020 Democrat presidential candidates want a health care system that covers everyone. Booker's health care proposal falls between what the top candidates are proposing. While he supports a goal of achieving "Medicare for All", Booker doesn't go so far as Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders in calling to eliminate private insurance companies.

A late Atlanta touchdown lifted the Falcons to a 24-20 win over the Eagles Sunday night in Atlanta. Eagles coach Doug Pederson says the loss leaves a bitter taste in his players mouths. "It's hard to find words. These guys are hurting. I just told them that I was proud of them. I also told them this would also unite this football team and nobody should hang their head," Pederson said. Both the Eagles and Falcons are now 1-1.
