After the Eagles finished off their 3 games in 11 days with a 1-2 record, things don’t get any easier for them this week as they start their preparation for a 3 game road trip which kicks off this Sunday when they travel to Mile High to take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. And no one is giving the Eagles any chance to pull this one out as they are currently 11 point underdogs and why should they?

The Broncos are not only looking like the class of the AFC but arguably the class of the NFL right now. Right now they look unstoppable sitting at 3-0 to start the season. They have outscored their opponents 127-71 in their first 3 matchups this season and have by 12 points or more in every game so far this season. The credit can be given to this Broncos high octane offense that just looks unstoppable right now! But despite all the hype, Eagles QB Michael Vick feels it doesn't matter what people say because he and his teammates will let their play on the football do the talking.

“We don’t even look at it like that,” Michael Vick said. “That’s just the sports world. We’re the ones that have to go live it. We are not looking at it as us being underdogs. We’re looking at it as that we are playing a good football team and we have to be at our best.”

And they better be at their best with this game this week. Denver is the top offense in the NFL in yards a game(486.7yds PG), most points(42.3 per game), and passing offense(374.7 yds PG). Just look at the man under center. Everyone said a year ago, that it was a risky decision for the Broncos to bring in Peyton Manning after a series of serious neck surgeries and boy did he prove them wrong. They were one play away last season from a Super Bowl birth and now in 2013 he looks like he hasn't lost a step. Manning is on pace for another record breaking season. In 3 games this year he has already thrown for over 1100 yards, 12 TDs and not a single interception all at the age of 37! No wonder no one is giving the Eagles a chance. But the "no chance" could be the very thing that helps them in the long run.

“A chance to shock the world." Those are the exact words that came out of CB Cary Williams' mouth on Tuesday. That is the way these players are taking on this game, an opportunity to prove the haters wrong. It could be that motivation and determination that lifts them over the edge to win this football game. Like they say "Any Given Sunday." If the Broncos come into this game not taking the Eagles seriously. The Eagles could be the one with the advantage as we are unclear who the Eagles actually are. So far it has been a very up and down season for the Birds and we are only three weeks through teams are still trying to figure out their identity.

A dominating victory over their NFC East rival, the Washington Redskins on the road, and then back to back competitive losses at home against the Chargers and Chiefs and really the Eagles have looked to be thier own worst enemy between turning the ball over, inconsistent tackling and coverage play in the secondary, and the mountain of penalties in key situations. The Eagles have the fire power on offense to compete with the Broncos on the offensive side of the football if they can gel and get in some type of rhythm because this Denver Defense is vulnerable with the losses of Elvis Dummerville(Loss to Free Agency), LB Von Miller(Suspended) and a banged up aging CB Champ Bailey. Chip Kelly has expressed to the media and his players that this team is better than what they have portrayed on the football field the first three weeks and that there is still time to turn it around if they can limit the mistakes. If they can do that then hey, they might shock the world and beat the "unstoppable" Broncos at home. Crazier things have happened.

S Chung Sidelined

One bright side for the Birds so far this early in the season is they haven't been bit by the injury bug(knock on wood) so far. Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly announced that everyone had practice on Tuesday except for S Patrick Chung who missed practice with a shoulder injury.

Chung has struggled so far this season in coverage but has been one of the better tacklers this season for the Eagles defense with 18 combined tackles through 3 games. In his place S Earl Wolff has been getting 1st team reps alongside S Nate Allen. If Chung is unable to make the trip Sunday, fans will finally get their wish as Wolff will be expected to receive the nod.

QB Michael Vick was shaken up towards the end of Thursday's 26-16 loss to the Chiefs but spoke today and was asked on his health status where he responds,"I'm 100 percent."
